TECHNICIAN SPRAY PAINTER LANDING GEAR

Working with their Team Leader/Area Manager, the Technician Spray Painter role will be based in our Paint Shop in our Landing Gear Facility in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.  This is a permanent full-time position. He/she must ensure that required quality, safety and technical standards of work are maintained as per company manuals and regulatory requirements.  All work done must be inspected, repaired, tested and in compliance with the standards specified.  The Landing Gear Painter will also be responsible for training, assisting and imparting knowledge to other staff and apprentices in the Business unit.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience in spray painting.
  • Experience in mixing solvent and water based paints.
  • Have experience in preparing parts for painting and light repairs.
  • Provide maintenance of the spray guns and the spray boot.
  • Perform duties as assigned by Zonal Leader/Area Manager ensuring that all work is completed in a timely fashion and meets the delivery requirements of the customer.
  • Be a self-starter, must possess an ability to work on their own initiative.
  • Must demonstrate a proactive approach to achieving objectives.
  • Ability to work under pressure both in a team and alone.
  • Adhere to all company, regulatory and Health and Safety procedures

Core Competencies / Skills Required:

  • Must have a relevant qualification (minimum level 5)
  • Previous experience in similar role is essential.
  • The ability to use correctly and hold the Company Approvals relevant to the area.
  • A good standard of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to adapt to change and work as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn and implement new systems and procedures in line with Company objectives.
  • Possess a common sense and flexible approach to changing priorities and customer demands at short notice.
  • Where applicable, the person must satisfactorily complete a Dublin Aerospace competency assessment procedure

Essential Criteria:

  • Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug screening.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications Word and Excel in particular
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Permitted to live and work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction.
